During the production of our May 2012 issue we’ve been playing with the gorgeously retro styled Fujifilm X-Pro1, the brand’s first ever compact system camera, and using it in conjunction with the 35mm f/1.4 prime lens to shoot portraits of some of our featured interviewees – including Photo-Me chief Olivier Gimpel and Cameraworld director Tony Stent.

With an APS-C sized sensor that makes it a match for DSLRs, in BPI’s opinion the Fujifilm X-Pro1 looks to be shaping up to a viable alternative to a bulkier camera, and without compromising on quality…what this space for a full review coming up.
