You may well have noticed a few changes this month. BPI news has a new team at its helm – editor and freelance journalist Gavin Stoker and publisher/advertising manager Clive Insley. Previously published by Archant Media, the magazine is now owned and published wholly by BPI Partners Ltd.
“Partners is the key work here,” says new publisher Clive. “It’s time to get behind our trade and strengthen relationships between buyers and dealers, so that it benefits both parties.”
Having been in the industry for 30 years, Clive has worn many hats. These include publishing the first Jessops magazine with a circulation of 300,000 and running the successful Practical Photography road shows. As a recognised face in the trade, his passion for the photographic industry has led to him coming on-board with BPI News.
Once you look through a printed BPI News magazine… on our page three editorial notes, this month’s theme is about making the most of opportunities. From distributors looking for dealers to sell more of their lines, to dealers working with ‘third parties’ to generate extra sales revenue for both sides, through to generous Government funding opportunities for small businesses.
